Where is Kate Middleton?

On this episode, Laura covers the recent flurry of headlines around where Kate is. Laura and Morgan discuss that the lack of statements from Kensington Palace is consistent with what they initially said. However, they also discussed how the silence left a void that very predictably conspiracies and rumors filled. Laura and Morgan discussed how this could've been managed better to rein in some of the headlines and press.

They also discuss the paparazzi photos that were released of Kate with her mom in a car. These were the first photos of Kate since her surgery. Finally, both Laura and Morgan think Kensington Palace will release a photo of Kate with her children to mark Mothering Sunday in the UK this Sunday.

Morgan ends the show with a rant and rave (and a bonus extra rant).

William's BAF-TERRIBLE Moment

For the life/royal show of the week, Morgan recaps William's solo appearance at the BAFTAs. She begins by correctly pointing out that William is much better when accompanied by Kate, who couldn't attend due to her recovery.

However, as a long time patron of BAFTA, William was very disappointing. He admitted to not doing much research like seeing the movies or knowing much about them even though he was there for the award show.

It all culminated when he told actress Mia McKenna-Bruce who won an award for the film How to Have Sex, a film which includes with her character being raped, "'I haven't yet watched your film - I think it looked like you had a lot of fun all the way through." Morgan details just how awkward and unfortunate that quote was and how it doesn't seem like a big ask to ask him to at least review the summaries of movies before attending.

Laura ends the show with a rant.

Laura
Anthem or It Didn't Happen

On this episode, in recognition of the news that the NHL will be sending players to the Olympics in 2026, Laura gives a quick rundown of men's hockey at the Olympics. She reviews the history of Olympic participation, rule differences, and some of the epic moments from Olympics history.

Morgan and Laura also discuss the fact that Russia DEFINITELY did not medal at the last two Olympics and that the Olympic Athletes from Russia and the Russian Olympic Committee medaled. Sure, those teams had Russia in their name, but the Russian anthem didn't play which is the only way we know a country won.

Morgan ends the show with a rant and rave.

Laura
How Swede It Is

On this episode, Laura covers her favorite royal family the Swedish Royal Family aka the Bernadottes. She discusses the changes throughout the years, many amazing tidbits, and mostly just gushes about why she loves them so much.

Morgan ends the show with rant and rave.

On the sports episode, Morgan and Laura go over the highlights of the Big Game. From the actual game (don't worry that's not too much of the episode) to Usher's halftime show to the commercials to OF COURSE Taylor Swift, Morgan and Laura have a lot to say.

The whole show is a mix of rants and raves so they skip that segment this week.

Everything is Awful (Sports Edition)

After a week off, Morgan and Laura are returning with some very heavy topics this week. First up, their sports topic. TRIGGER WARNING: SEXUAL ASSAULT

On Monday, London, Ontario police held a press conference after laying sexual assault charges against 5 members of the 2018 Canadian World Junior hockey team in connection with an assault that took place during the weekend of a gala honoring the team. 4 current NHL players and 1 former player are charged with crimes.

Laura goes over the timeline of the case and the myriad of ways the victim (known as E.M.) was failed. This includes the London Police initially closing the case and not opening it up until years later, Hockey Canada trying to brush everything under the rug, and of course the alleged traumatizing sexual assault.

This is just the beginning as Canadian legal experts say that the backlog of cases means this likely won't go to trial until 2026 so you can be sure we will cover updates when they happen.

Laura
More Fake News

Specifically she discussed a baseless rumor spread by a Flyers-affiliated podcast that made former Flyer Kevin Hayes look bad and resulted in death threats and other vile remarks directed at him. Laura
Top 3 of 2023: Life (aka Royal) Edition

In the final episode of 2023, Morgan wraps up the Top 3 in 2023 episodes by covering the top 3 life (well really, royal) stories of 2023.

She starts by discussing the biggest tiara moment of the year, the reemergence of the Strathmore Rose tiara after 90+ years in the vault. She revisited Kate's stunning appearance in the diadem. Morgan and Laura also discussed the conspiracy theory that this was Kate's original look for the coronation before it was decided that tiaras wouldn't have been worn.

Next, Morgan highlights the Jordanian royal wedding and all the amazing moments (fashion and otherwise) from the event.

Finally, Morgan and Laura discuss the coronation of King Charles. The discuss some of the great moments as well as some of their disappointments and missed opportunities for the event.

In typical Morgan and Laura fashion, there were a lot of tangents in this episode, but they brought it home in the end with Laura providing the final rant and rave of 2023.

We'll see you all in 2024!

Laura
Top 3 of 2023: Sports Edition

For their last episodes of the year, Morgan and Laura are discussing their top sports and life moments of the year. First up, Laura presented her top 3 sports moments of the year.

Laura discussed the Mike Babcock coaching tenure (he was gone before he coached a game) and all the drama surrounding it. She then covered two very catastrophic injuries: Damar Hamlin in the NHL and Adam Johnson in hockey. She finished her top 3 stories by discussing Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's relationship and how that dominated the 2023-24 NFL season so far.

Morgan ended the show with a rave, and Laura supplied the rant.

Laura
Tiara Déjà Vu

On this episode, Laura very quickly recaps the British Diplomatic reception in which Kate wore an entire look she's worn before. Then, she discusses the Nobel Prize Ceremony where Victoria wore an entire look she's worn before. There was a lot of tiara déjà vu this week.

Sofia did spice things up by wearing a new gown handcrafted for this event and a whole lotta Swarovski crystals, but Laura and Morgan aren't sure it worked. Laura also gives predictions and dreams for the second Nobel event that has since already happened but hadn't at the time of recording.

Morgan ends the show by ranting about William and Kate's family Christmas card and using her photography knowledge to analyze it.

Laura
Shohei "Dodges" the Moving Van

The most highly anticipated MLB free agent signing in a long time, dynamite pitcher and hitter Shohei Ohtani decided he did not want to have to hire a moving company and pack up his things. He decided to stay in LA but not by reupping his contract with the Angels. The Japanese phenom decided to move to NL powerhouse the LA Dodgers.

Our resident baseball expert Morgan gave us all the deets of how this signing came to be, the staggering details of the contract, and all the rumors that swirled about Ohtani going to Toronto. It was a whirlwind of social media craziness so there was much to discuss.

Laura ends the show with a rant and rave.
