Let's talk about the All Star Game ballot, shall we?

The team with the best record in the American League doesn't have one player in the top 3 for their position.

As of writing this post (June 12th) Elvis is currently sitting at number 5 for shortstops. Other than that, the Rangers don't have anyone close to being a starter.

No Beltre.

No Desmond.

No Odor.

No Mazara.

Rangers don't even have an outfielder in the top 15.

I can understand certain players on the Rangers not ranking high, and I'm not saying just because the Rangers are the best in the AL, all the players should be starters. Numbers matter. After all the All Star game actually means something.

I can understand Moreland and Fielder not being top 3 first baseman or DH.They've struggled this season. (Until very recently... they're baaaaack..?)

Choo and Chirinos have been on the DL most of the season, I get not voting for them.

DeShields is currently at Round Rock, I get not voting for him.

What about everyone else though?

I'm not saying you should vote for Rangers just because you're a Ranger fan, some of my ballots this year have included Trout and David Ortiz. Sometimes it's a strategy with picking players. Sometimes you have to think about who is the best choice to get the AL home field advantage for the World Series?

However, I'll argue until I'm blue in the face that future hall of famer Adrian Beltre is the best third baseman in the majors right now. He should start in the All Star Game.

Desmond has proved himself to be an amazing outfielder, you can debate whether he should start or not, but he should still be racking up the votes.

Mazara is undefeated for the AL Rookie of the Month. Write his name in!

Elvis is playing some of the best baseball he's ever played, keeping moving him up on the ballot!

Get Odor to the ASG so players can congratulate him in person for that punch. ;)

If you really wanted to, you could write in Bobby or Holaday for catcher, because why not? They've been some of the most productive catchers the Rangers have had in awhile.

Don't forget Profar! Doesn't hurt to write his name in, he looked pretty good at first base the other day.

You can vote 5 times a day until you reach 35 votes. That's per email address, by the way. Vote with every email address you know, I've been using 4 different e-mails.

A fan has to do what a fan has to do!

Rangers will have at least one player representing the team at the All Star Game no matter what.

But wouldn't it be nice to have a few starters from the defending AL West Champs and the American League first place team.
