Sneak a Peek: Eye Makeup Drawer

Here it is, the last drawer from my makeup collection. But don't worry, this isn't the last of this series. There is definitely more to go!

So this drawer holds all my eye makeup. Mascara, eye liner, and single eye shadows. I don't really change what I reach for daily, but I really like trying different eyeliners and mascaras. So I have a few of each, and while I don't rotate continuously, every once and awhile I will. I also have a hard time letting things go, even if they aren't my favorites, just in hopes that I'll try it again and like it. Like it'll get better with time!

Mascara:

You'll notice with this drawer, I really love L'oreal eye products. There hasn't been a L'oreal mascara that I've tried and haven't loved. As long as it's waterproof. I always get waterproof mascara because it's the only thing that'll hold the curl in my lashes. If it's not waterproof, my lashes just go straight out. Speaking of curling lashes, I just use a regular Revlon Lash curler, I've never tried a fancy lash curler because I don't think you need a "high end" lash curler.

L'Oreal Voluminous Superstar: I should've gotten this in waterproof. I thought since it has a primer, that I wouldn't need the waterproof to hold curl. I was wrong. This is one of those products that I've used once but held on to because I want it to work for me.

Covergirl The Super Sizer: I've purchased this a couple of times and really like it. Does a great job at separating and volumizing lashes.

L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes & L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen: These are my go to mascaras. I go back and forth between these two, and sometimes even layer them. The amount of volume they both give is amazing. The million lashes does a better job at separating lashes just because it's a plastic brush. But I highly recommend either of these.

Liquid Eyeliner:

Much like mascara, L'Oreal is my go to for liquid eyeliner. Lately my go to has been the L'Oreal Lineur Intense felt tip liner. It's one of the easiest to use and it's super black. The first liquid liner I remember using is theL'Oreal Lineur Intense with the brush tip. I'm pretty sure it's the same formula, it's just a brush tip instead of the felt tip. I think the brush tip provides less control, which makes it harder to use but I keep it just in case I decide to try it again! TheJordana FabuLiner is also a really easy liner to use because it's like a pen. However, compared to the L'Oreal liners I don't feel like the the black is as intense one it's dried. It looks more like a faded black, so between that and the L'Oreal liners, I definitely don't reach for it as often. (On the Jordana website it says this liner is sold out, I want to say I found mine at either CVS, Walgreens, or Ulta. I can't remember which is exactly but if you're interested I would check there or even amazon!)

Pencil Eyeliner:

Pencil eyeliners I use solely on my bottom waterline. However I did get the Maybelline Master Kajaleyeliner to try and smudge on my top lash line, it's just not easy for me to use pencil liners on my lid. They just don't glide on smooth, so I'll be honest, I don't reach for this maybelline liner all that often. However, I do reach for the Rimmel ScandalEyes almost daily. It's my favorite pencil liner hands down. I don't have a problem with it smudging under my eyes throughout the day, I've repurchased it a million times. Occasionally I use black on my waterline, mostly I bought the L'Oreal Infallible Silkissime liner again for the top lash line but I have used it on the bottom waterline. However this does smudge down, and it settles into my tear duct so I don't prefer this product as much.

 Single Eyeshadows:

A trick I learned to keep eyeliner that you've put on your bottom water liner or mascara on your bottom lashes from smudging down, is to put a little shadow (or face powder if you want a more natural look) smudged on your bottom lash line. Since I've done this, I haven't had a problem with most liners. I just take a tiny eyeliner/eyeshadow brush (I use the two smallest brushes in this set) and smudge it at the bottom lash line and boom done. Not only do I like these particular shadows for that, I also reach for Satin Taupe and Pain Au Chocolat quite a bit for an all over lid color blended out. Super quick eye look!

The next post I'm planning for this series is all about my makeup brushes. I also plan to show my eyeshadow palettes, probably split into two posts because of the amount of swatches they'll be.

Let me know what you think about this post and your favorite eye products in the comments!
