Cozy Cardigan
Texas weather is really playing with us all, isn't it? When I took these photos last Thursday, I froze my butt off. It was maybe 50 degrees. The last few days it's been 80 degrees and sunny and it's not making getting dressed in the morning easy.Since it's technically winter still, I also don't know if I should bust out all of my spring weather clothes. I know it's 70 and April like weather but is it too soon to wear white jeans and sandals? It feels weird to wear it in February. Especially when I'm still in the mood for layers and dark winter clothes.Anyone else that way?I feel like bright colors are for spring/summer, dark colors for fall/winter. But this weather is really making that difficult. I say this as I'm currently wearing what i'd consider a fall outfit of army green jeans and a black and white striped long sleeved shirt while wearing bright pale pink polish on my nails. It's a real struggle clearly. This was the easiest outfit I have for confusing weather. A big cardigan over a dress for the morning, and then when it heats up in thee afternoon, just ditch the cardigan.I got this cardigan from Target a few months back, it was one of those pieces I saw and passed up on and then couldn't stop thinking about it. I bought it in a small, usually I'm a medium, large depending on how over-sized I want something or how small it runs. This cardigan runs super big. I could've gotten an extra small.(I didn't try it on before I buying it, I figured I could eyeball a cardigan size right? Sorry mom!) Even though it's a bit bigger than I normally like, it's super cozy and warm. The color is what really sold me though. If you've seen a few of my outfit posts, you already know I don't wear a ton of color, neutrals are just easier for me to style. But I couldn't pass up on this.[gallery ids="5994,5996" type="rectangular"][gallery ids="5995,5998,5999" type="rectangular"]
