What I've Been Up To
I feel like every summer turning into fall, I come on here and say ' I totally didn't mean for it to be this long between posts." And it's true! I definitely didn't mean to have nothing new posted in the last month but time really slipped away from me!
So I'm posting a bit of an update so bare with me.
First of all, while I have more time in the summer, it kind of sucks away all my creativity. Especially when it comes to outfits, it's just too dang hot to look cute most days! So that's what happened there. But don't worry, there will be plenty of outfit posts this fall because I've done a little (a lot, oops!) of fall shopping and I have a million (only a slight exaggeration here) planned. Once it starts feeling like fall around here, I'll be taking photos of my daily outfits (that's the plan at least!)
Second, my final semester of college started up at the end of August. FINAL. SEMESTER. I honestly never thought I'd get here. I mean I'm still not *there* but I'm closer than I ever thought I would be. This semester is shaping up to be one of my busiest (I think I said that last semester and the one before that too...) but I'm writing a few stories for two of my classes, both of which seem to be just a tad time consuming, so time management is really going to be top priority this semester.
Lastly, I started an internship! Kinda late to the game on this since it's a requirement for graduation but you know everything happens for a reason so I'm sticking with that. It's a social media/marketing internship so it's a little different than anything I've done but so far has been super interesting to learn. It's with Food Hall Co. at Legacy Hall in Plano and as someone who has mostly dabbled in sports and fashion/beauty, it's interesting to see the food part of the world when it comes to social media.
It's mainly a writing internship, writing blog posts and event copy, which is fun but also testing my creativity in a new way since it's a different writing style than what I've really done before. I'm only just starting my third week there so I can't say too much about the work load. But hey when you're told to go gif crazy in blog posts and write a copy for a Mean Girls Movie Night, there's really not too much you can complain about right? Also, not a bad gig working across the street from all this amazing food. :P
