Nineties Mild Child
So I know this is an outfit post but I wanted to talk more about what I want to do with this now that I have a new blog name and space. It just made sense to do that here as the first real post since the relaunch.
With the new blog, one thing I really want to do is share more outfits and styling inspiration. That was one of the main reasons I started the blog because I wanted to share my style since a lot of the bloggers I follow wear outfits I love and get inspo from but usually can’t afford. So I thought my blog would be more relatable. (Is that pretentious?)
Anyway, I also wanted to share more writing focused posts. By that I mean, usually my outfit posts are based on photos that I’m then writing about or explaining. But in going back and reforming old posts from back in 2016 about the Texas Rangers and I had a revelation. I really enjoyed writing about that team because if I had a thought/opinion about something, I would just sit down and type away. Sounds simple enough, but I had stopped doing that for a while, at least it feels like I’ve stopped doing that, because like I mentioned in the previous post, I felt like I boxed myself in on what I could and couldn’t post about.
So basically what I hope to do is write more posts, most likely about sports, because that’s generally the topic I have a lot of thoughts and opinions worth writing about, that are longer somewhat editorial type posts. Some of my favorite things I’ve ever written were in journalism school writing long form features and it’s something I’ve really missed and want to add to my blog now. Not only because it’s enjoyable but as I’m still on the hunt for a full-time job, it’s another way to grow my portfolio beyond my writing on Lone Star Ball.
I’m really exciting to share more of my writing and different types of posts and hope y’all enjoy everything that’s to come!
